Who are we

Everything you want to know about All One Nurse

If you’re in nursing school or navigating your first 1–1.5 years as a nurse, this space was created with you in mind. This is where you can breathe, learn, grow, and feel supported as you step into one of the most meaningful callings in the world.

The transition into nursing is beautiful, challenging, stretching, and sacred. But it can also feel overwhelming — especially in your first year and a half. All One Nurse exists to walk with you through that season.

Here, you’ll find support that helps you grow:

  • Clinically — building judgment, confidence, and competence
  • Emotionally — navigating stress, doubt, and the weight of caring for others
  • Spiritually — staying grounded in faith when the work feels heavy
  • Professionally — learning how to thrive, not just survive.

This is a community that sees you, values you, and believes in the nurse you’re becoming.

You Belong Here
Whether you’re studying for licensure, preparing for your first shift, or trying to find your rhythm as a new nurse, All One Nurse is here to remind you:

Founder Story

Who’s Behind All One Nurse?

Hi, I am Shenell Thompkins.

I’m Shenell Thompkins — nurse educator, mentor, and host of the All One Nurse Podcast.

For over 13 years, I’ve worked across Progressive Care, Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU), and Critical Care education. Today, I guide new nurses through orientation, clinical development, and the emotional transition from student to practicing nurse.

People often describe me as personable, easy to talk to, and genuinely kind — and I bring that same heart into every resource, conversation, and piece of content I create here.`
