Meet Shenell
Shenell started podcasting as a host on Nurse Converse, and that experience inspired her to launch All One Nurse in July 2024. In the very first episode she shared her small-town upbringing, becoming a teenage mom and her road into nursing, along with the mission behind the show: getting back to the human side of healthcare through candid conversations, expert interviews and real-life stories.
Today she trains new nurses as a nurse educator, and the podcast is where she meets them before and beyond orientation: aspiring nurses, students and nurses in their first 18 months. In March 2026 the show won the Best of Nursing Award for Nurse Podcast Creator from Nurse.org. Shenell calls it more than content: "it's an assignment."
Shenell on Nurse Converse
Nurse Converse is a collaborative podcast presented by Nurse.org, with a rotating lineup of nurse hosts selected by the nursing community. Shenell is one of those guest hosts: she has hosted episodes in Season 1 and Season 2, on healing from burnout, tips for introverted nurses, and a nurse's journey with an LVAD.
